A summer of adventure, friendship, and language immersion !
Day 1: The World and Its Continents
Activities:
- Geography Workshop: Create a large map of the world using recycled materials. Children can add flags and fun facts about each continent.
- Continents Quiz Game: Organize an interactive quiz on the geographical, cultural, and animal characteristics of each continent.
- Flag Creation: Children make flags of different countries and learn about their meaning and history.
- Outdoor Session (2 PM to 4 PM): Team games such as relay races, scarf games, or ring toss.
Day 2: Fun Science
Activities:
- Scientific Experiments: Conduct simple experiments like a volcano eruption (baking soda and vinegar) and sugar crystal creation.
- Slime Making: Children learn to make slime by mixing glue, baking soda, and saline solution, with colors and glitter.
- Fun Physics Workshop: Build catapults from recycled materials and organize a contest to see who can launch a small object the farthest.
- Outdoor Session (2 PM to 4 PM):* Science and skill games, like tug-of-war or obstacle courses.
Day 3: Nature in the 5 Continents
Activities:
- Creating a Herbarium: Children collect leaves and flowers from different plants, then press and glue them in a notebook.
- Natural Painting Workshop: Use natural elements to create colors (like beets, spinach, and blueberries) and paint landscapes or animals.
- Treasure Hunt: Organize a nature-themed treasure hunt with clues about plants and animals from different continents.
- Outdoor Session (2 PM to 4 PM): Outdoor activities like hide-and-seek, foot races, or ball games.
Day 4: Art and Creativity
Activities:
- Painting Workshop: Explore different painting techniques (watercolor, acrylic, sponge painting) to create artworks.
- Jewelry Making: Create necklaces and bracelets from beads and recycled materials, personalizing each creation.
- Art Exhibition: Organize an exhibition at the end of the day where each child presents their artwork to their peers and parents.
- Outdoor Session (2 PM to 4 PM):
- Land Art
– Children use natural elements found outside (like leaves, stones, flowers, branches) to create ephemeral artworks. They can form mandalas, sculptures, or patterns on the ground.
– Additionally, children can draw landscapes or animals with chalk on the ground, inspired by their natural environment.
This Land Art activity stimulates children’s creativity while connecting them to nature, allowing them to unleash their imagination using natural materials.
Day 5: Our Animal Friends
Activities:
- Animal Workshop: Learn about animals from the five continents, with presentations on their habitats, behaviors, and conservation.
- Animal Puppet Creation: Make puppets from recycled materials and organize a small puppet show themed around animals.
- Animal Visit: Invite a guest speaker (like a veterinarian or wildlife educator) to talk about pets and wildlife, with a live demonstration if possible.
- Outdoor Session (2 PM to 4 PM): Group games such as musical chairs or animal imitation games.
